Industrial Photography – Cadcon

We were tasked to take professional marketing publication industrial photos for Cadcon Steel Construction and Engineering, based in Centurion, Pretoria. Cadcon is a specialised engineering and manufacturing organisation and an absolute leader in this field. The marketing photographs were published as part of a publication called Enterprise Africa. The publication highlights industry leaders across Africa with a global audience. Whenever you plan on having photographs taken for a publication it is absolutely essential to find a professional. The photographs need to assist in telling the company’s story while adhering to the standards and format of the publication. Publications also pose a unique deadline, which means the parameters and planning for the project must be done in advance to ensure the deadlines are met. This includes the layout for the publication and the story being told.

The photoshoot was done on-site in their manufacturing plant, as such the site presented a lot of inherent hazards. To make sure our photoshoot ran smoothly we planned with the Cadcon team in advance. This included organising their team members, and making sure each member is neatly dressed and available to be photographed. This planning is also essential for the Cadcon team as each member being photographed could disrupt operations, resulting in financial losses. The site also had to be cleaned up and prepared with proper branding to ensure the photographs come out as neat and professional as possible.

It was an absolute pleasure working with the Cadcon team. For a project like this to be a success, you need to work closely with the client. Their team provided timely feedback through each step of the project and made sure the photoshoot ran as smoothly as possible.
